長(zhǎng)期開展1)天然產(chǎn)物的微生物合成與生物轉(zhuǎn)化;2)工業(yè)微生物的抗逆重編程與工程應(yīng)用;3)生物催化與酶工程。國(guó)家重點(diǎn)研發(fā)計(jì)劃“合成生物學(xué)”專項(xiàng)首席科學(xué)家。擔(dān)任中國(guó)化工學(xué)會(huì)生物化工專委會(huì)副主任、中國(guó)生物工程學(xué)會(huì)科普工作委員會(huì)主任、工業(yè)與環(huán)境生物技術(shù)專業(yè)委員會(huì)副主任、中國(guó)生物工程學(xué)會(huì)合成生物學(xué)專委會(huì)副主任;擔(dān)任《合成生物學(xué)》執(zhí)行主編、《Frontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology》副主編、《Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology》、《Synthetic and Systems Biotechnology》、《化工進(jìn)展》、《催化學(xué)報(bào)》、《過(guò)程工程學(xué)報(bào)》、《農(nóng)業(yè)工程學(xué)報(bào)》、《生物加工過(guò)程》等期刊編委。

在Nat Comm、ACS Energy Lett、 ACS Catal、AIChE J、Chem Eng Sci、Metabolic Eng、ACS Synth Biol、JBC、AEM、J PhyChem Lett、Bioresourse Technol、Chem Eng J、中國(guó)科學(xué)和化工學(xué)報(bào)等期刊發(fā)表論文400余篇。獲授權(quán)國(guó)家發(fā)明專利31項(xiàng),獲省部級(jí)科技成果獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)4項(xiàng),近十年完成了4項(xiàng)技術(shù)的產(chǎn)業(yè)化應(yīng)用與示范。2004年入選教育部“新世紀(jì)優(yōu)秀人才計(jì)劃”,2005年獲“霍英東青年基金獎(jiǎng)”,2006年享受國(guó)務(wù)院政府特殊津貼,2014年獲得國(guó)家杰出青年科學(xué)基金,2017年獲得“侯德榜化工科技創(chuàng)新獎(jiǎng)”,2017年遴選為全國(guó)“生物工程學(xué)”首席科學(xué)傳播專家。編著《合成生物學(xué)》、《生物工程與技術(shù)導(dǎo)論》、《生物化學(xué)》等中英文教材和著作11部章,其中主編的《生物工程與技術(shù)導(dǎo)論》和副主編的《生物化學(xué)》獲中國(guó)石化聯(lián)合會(huì)出版物優(yōu)秀教材一等獎(jiǎng)。
